Combat had enough variety to avoid feeling too repetitive, but I wish the lore bits happened sooner.

Anyway, this review by Richie pretty much sums up the experience:

i liked this a lot!! theres a lot to enjoy and its fun to sink into the gameplay loop of manage cult --> dungeon but i also think by the end of the game it becomes less about the cult and more just grinding the dungeons and wanting to finish it. it becomes boring by like the final dungeon area and i found myself just wanting to get through it unfortunately :/
